Keep Calm and Doorscursion On
In last week’s Thursday Doors post I asked readers and contributors for their input as to whether or not we should keep running our weekly get-togethers during the global Covid-19 crisis.
Since many of us are in lock-down, shelter-in-place, stay-indoors mode, encouraging people to go outside to take pictures of doors and interesting architecture is not a good idea right now.
What I hadn’t considered was how our silly weekly habit of getting together to share our door photos can be a welcome distraction, especially when so much of what we’re seeing and reading online right now is filled with doom and gloom.
Also, many mentioned having plenty of door photos in their archives, wanting to get creative with their interpretations of doors, or had no problem with simply re-posting previously used images.
With that in mind I’m happy to let you know that the results of my informal poll were resounding in wanting to keep the weekly challenge going.
And so we shall.
So, for all you door lovers out there please feel free to join me again this Thursday to share your favourite door pics.
Dig into your archives, or be creative if you’re so inclined, and since recycling is always in style, feel free to use images you’ve already posted for you new Thursday Doors posts.
Also this is just a gentle reminder for you to make sure you come by and add the link to your post in the comments section of my weekly post.
Friends, this makes it soooo much easier for me and others to find your post if we don’t have to go scouring the internet looking for it. So please add your link in the comments section.
In closing I just wanted to thank everyone for the overwhelmingly positive response. I was truly touched and humbled to see how many door fans wanted to keep this weekly obsession going.
In the meantime
Please stay safe out there. See you all on Thursday 😀
Thanks for keeping it going!

Wise choice, people are in need of encouragement during this unprecedented coronavirus time. I haven’t been contributing to Thursday Doors for a while, now I’ll dig around my archives and share some that I posted before. Stay well.

What a silly idea. Keep calm and stay silly. Unless calm interferes with silly. In that case Keep silly an try to inject a small modicum of calm. Thanks Norm
