Here are my entries for Tuesdays of Texture for week 40.
A selection of metal texture shots from New York City:
You’ll find lots of other interesting texture posts over at DE Monte Y MAR
I suggest you head on over to check them out and perhaps even add your own and play along.
Thanks you for looking 🙂
Is your last photo of that garden that has been established on the unused subway tracks?

Yes, exactly Sonia. It’s called The Highline. It’s on an old abandoned elevated rail line on the lower west side of Manhattan.

I knew it! I went there with my sister who visited me last year. It was through her that I found out about this oasis of green and relative quiet (for NYC standards ;)) Great place 🙂

Great series! I’m thinking that, that lamp has probably got some history to it, could I be right?

Thanks Mick. I’m not sure but I would assume it has been there since before WWII at least. Nobody would put that much effort or expense into a public park light today 😉

Hi Norm,
Ain’t that the truth, and yes it does look a bit ancient. Many thanks for the feedback.

I love the gracefulness of the trees surrounding the lamppost. It’s like they’re dancing.
