More of Montréal’s Ruelles Vertes #2

Before we get started: Considering that most of us have not been able to travel for many months, I know it’s not easy coming up with ideas and content for new posts. With that in mind this is just a quick reminder to let you know that recycling old or previously posted images into a new Thursday Doors post is totally okay. Feel free to be creative and let’s keep having a bit of fun through all of this craziness 😉

And now let’s continue exploring Montréal’s Ruelles Vertes:

This one was even greener than most.

There was something about the clean lines and simple look that drew me to this one. The horizontal window near the top caught my attention and for me that was enough to seal the deal.

And at the completely opposite end of the spectrum…

Have a seat and relax a spell.

Not quite sure what this mural is supposed to be but I like it.

This storage bench doesn’t officially have doors but I’m counting the two hinged covers as doors all the same.

And when you get shadows and light like this, a photographer will tend to hang around and play for a while. I took close to 20 different shots of these two 😀

    The colorful Black-Eyed Susans and grass look like you’ve had lots of rain there. I like all your doors and in the picture entitled “Have a seat and relax a spell” the light green structure looks like a garage but does not appear to have much depth – is the back of the garage hidden or an optical illusion of some type?

    I agree – having fun with doors in a great way of dealing with this craziness. And, yes, hinged covers are doors, too. A door is defined (in a web dictionary) “a hinged, sliding, or revolving barrier at the entrance to a building, room, or vehicle, or in the framework of a cupboard.” Those hinged covers are on horizontal cupboards. 😉

    These are all nice, Norm. I like the first one the best. I like the corner braces, that’s an idea I’m going to remember. I understand about playing in the shadows. Each picture just a little different. I love the bench with the storage and the books. I like how they built it over the speed bumps. By the way? Is that what you call them? We have bumps, bumps and speed tables (depending on width).

    Of all the photos, I like the opening one the best. The green lane has a very nice feel to it.
