My blog buddy Ludwig Keck over at Two Cameras – Two Views runs a weekly feature called Monday Window. It is similar to Thursday Doors in that like doors, windows can also tell a lot about a place.
Here’s my contribution for this week from The Cloisters, part of the Metropolitan Museum in New York:
By all means please head on over to see the windows that Ludwig and others are posting and maybe even join in yourself.
Thanks for looking 🙂
Great picture! The texture of the bricks, and the frame within a frame effect, makes it a great picture.

I guess I remembered some of what I read on 15 Ways To Take Better Pictures (wording may have been a little different. Following you on that site now.)

For some reason this window brought to mind The Lady of Shalott – I can see a lady looking out that window, down the river to Camelot.

I can see that Jan; mind you in this case the river is the Hudson 😉

That is a neat window, and neatly photographed. Thank you for contributing to Monday Window. Do keep in mind that there are windows right next to doors, so they are hard to avoid! My window contribution for today is also accompanied by doors for Thursday!

Thanks Ludwig. I can’t promise to join in every week, but I do have a few more share-worthy windows lined up for the weeks to come. Cheers!

It was my first visit and even though I’d researched enough to know what to expect, the place still blew me away. Gotta love pleasant surprises 😀
