Ever since I posted my first Thursday Doors in September 2014 I hoped that we could get enough people interested to make a regular multi-contributor feature out of it.
Well this week Thursday Doors will take the next step towards that goal. So, for all those who have mentioned they might like to join in on the fun, now’s your chance!
Starting this week you’ll now be able to link up your own Thursday Door posts using the blue link-up button that will be at the bottom of the page.
Note: This feature is not reserved for expert photographers or DSLR users only. Everyone is welcome; the more the merrier. But do make sure that your post includes a photo that has a door as its main subject.
No matter what device you use, if you see an interesting door that you’d like to share, just snap your pic and create a post any time between Thursday and Saturday morning for entry into that week’s selection.
Don’t forget to tag your post under Thursday Doors and add the hashtag #ThursdayDoors if you also promote your posts on Twitter or Instagram.
Then make sure to swing by that week’s Thursday Doors post on this blog and use the blue button to add your link to the list so others can see it too. That list will allow you to check out all of the sexy Thursday Doors posted by others as well 🙂
Use your imagination. It could be a barn door, a doggie door, a car or truck door, an ornate entranceway door, or any other kind of door that you find interesting, unique, or shareworthy.
I now call out to all of you in the Blogosphere wherever you may be: Friends, Romans, Countrymen (and women): SHOW US YOUR DOORS!
Of course, I see this message on a Tuesday. I have an assignment tomorrow that includes doors!
One question: Do the photos have to be recent? Can I dredge some out of my archives? Sorry about the question count, I’m not a mathematician.

Hello Ludwig and welcome!
No the photos do not need to be recent, just as long as it is a new post and the primary subject of the post is doors.
We meet every Thursday, please feel free to scour your archives and join us 🙂

Yes I’m into doors big-time! I’ve posted a door photo every Thursday since last September. That’s why I’m trying to get others to play along and make it a weekly feature.
Watch this space tomorrow for more details and instruction on how to join in 🙂

Okay Norm, I have a door for you. So I wait for tomorrow to post it? To be clear, which blue button are you referring too?

Yay! Yes you can post tomorrow, or any time up to Saturday. In my door post tomorrow there’ll be a blue “link-up” button at the bottom of the page. Just follow the instructions from there. Let me know if you have any other questions 😀

I’ll be joining because I love Thursday doors, but I have to find some since most of the New England doors are covered in storm doors. 🙂

What a great idea – I love doors! I will keep an eye out to take pictures. Last summer I took photos of different benches and started to post them but then a winter storm arrived in November and I never finished my series.

I enjoy seeing doors and this one is fantastic in its historical appearance and I bet it could tell us some great stories. I don’t ‘do’ pictures, since I blog at the library. I will enjoy any and all doors submitted, for they help capture my imagination, Norm.

I have some interesting (to me) doors. I took one last week to try to use but I forgot. Maybe this is the push I need. I really enjoy your door photos.

Sadly, there aren’t. I live in the middle of nowhere. I have to take day trips to find some. 😦
