More of Montréal’s Ruelles Vertes #6

For this week’s exploration of  Montréal’s Green Laneways we move a little south and west into the Plateau Mont-Royal borough.

The Plateau as we call it, is a blend of quiet tree-lined residential streets mixed in among more commercial boulevards that showcase some of the trendiest shops and restaurants in the city.

Bricked over, painted over, ghost door?

Art is born from one graffiti to the next

I almost walked right past this one.

and this one.

This however was impossible not to notice.

In these spaces this is a frequently seen friendly reminder.

Slow down – children at play.

I just loved the way the light was glowing on the tin siding of this old shed.

No door but smile-inducing all the same.

I swear there is a door in there.

Someone had fun prettying up these stairs.

Everything starts with a dream.

A fresh coat of paint perhaps?

This door/gate is nothing to write home about but the uplifting message of gratitude and hope kind of resonates, especially in these less than inspiring times.

Today take the time to savor each moment of the day and don’t ever forget that if you believe in your dreams, they will come true.
