More of Montréal’s Ruelles Vertes #3

This week a few more interesting finds from several of Montréal’s Ruelles Vertes in the north central boroughs of St-Michel and Villeray.

A flowery version of Hopscotch I presume?

Done by a youngster or perhaps an adult with my level of artistic ability 😉

I’m guessing they really don’t want people using this one.

These always make me smile 🙂

I’m fond of the two-tone arrangement on this one.

Is this what they mean by the term ‘Urban Jungle’?

A bit of variety never hurts.

I love how they extended the mural onto the utility pole cover on the lower right.

Some sort of access door allowing them to drop out the trash without having to go outside?

So much unused potential.

These doors are for the birds…literally!

As always: thanks for looking 🙂

Thanks for this, Norm. So many reasons to smile. That two-tone garage door…did they run out of paint or time? The cute lending library, and that chalk hopscotch. I’ve got to try making one of those for the grandkids 🙂

There are so many photos here that made me smile … all the birdhouses on the pole, the sidewalk flowerpot, and the unusual no-entry sign over the door in the second last photo. Great finds!

  8. living in a neighborhood where all the garages are a bland neutral … it’s fun to see so much color. I’m going to remember the hopscotch flower for my future grandkids! and loved the “mais aujourd’hui” mural.

Lots of colorful photos in this week’s collection – I always like the Little Free Libraries too. We have quite a few around here; one, just for children’s books, is at the Botanical Gardens. Brightly colored and tucked amidst the blooms. My favorite today is those birdhouses!

  14. So much to love here! That two-tone door is puzzling… did they run out of paint? Or, are they like me and get halfway thru a painting project and realize that I don’t like the color? Love the little library and the birdhouses. So happy!

These are great, Norm. I love the hopscotch and the bird houses, the little library, the mural extended onto the utility pole and the way people work to make the ordinary utility doors look welcoming and fun. IT seems they turn what could be a creepy little alley into a fun place to walk.

My walk through what also could be a creepy place is over here – https://nofacilities.com/2020/09/24/ghosts-phoenix-doors-thursdaydoors/
