Ooo, I like your “winner” for sure! My second favorite is the first, the shed door. It looks like it’s an optical illusion, just painted on a wall to LOOK like a door. I like it! https://marianallen.com/2020/03/painted-metal-thursdaydoors/

Thanks Joey. The first one was my 2nd favorite. It’s just too bad I couldn’t get the shot without the fence in the way. It was about 8 feet tall and I wasn’t about to start climbing 😀

Wow – a little bit of everything on your doorscursion – the artwork sure is fun, the graffiti … just everywhere sometimes isn’t it? The old doors for a fence should take a prize too for originality!

Thanks Linda. Yes I thought the door-fence was a very original idea too 🙂

Oh, I do like this selection, Norm. Each photo has something of interest. That fence made of doors looks like something they’d put together when they heard you were coming.
My doors are from the same random abandoned town from a couple of weeks ago. And they come with a very very good news. They finally let amore stay home with me for the entire lock-down period. Yeah!! This virus knows what’s good for us!

Thanks Manja. The door-fence was also a little sad and worse for wear. It’s a great idea but it looked all wobbly and faded, like it hasn’t had any maintenance in years.

Even though a bit faded, the first door spoke to me. And the third, kinda scary looking spaghetti face – only during the day! The most courageous one is the brownisch davidstar one – I think I settle on that as my favorite – of course I would sand and paint it – maybe another color?

Hello Norm, you’ve got a great assortment today. I think I’m partial to the (bizarre) door wall.
This week I’m taking us to Bayeux in Normandy to check out the impressive main door at the Cathedral. https://marlaonthemove.com/2020/03/12/thursday-doors-bayeux/

Thanks Marla. I thought the door wall was an original idea, though it does look like it has seen better days 🙂

Lovely street art and doors, Norm, but that last door is my favourite, too. It looks very like a Dublin door. Love the colour. Here’s my post for this week, thanks.

That is quite an eclectic mix this morning, Norm, and as a collection they support one another. I like that … especially the door with eyes. Normally I would curse those support wires interfering with the scene, but in this case they add to the image! This one is a winner in my opinion.

Wow, that last door is a winner for sure. I love the way the street numbers and the mail slot are slipped in without taking away from the overall appearance. I really like the shelf under the upper window on the door itself. It looks like a lot of thought went into the design.
I like the street art, especially the Garfield / Odie one. The fence made of old doors is interesting, but a little sad. I saw a piece of furniture made from an old door. That’s included in my somewhat random group over here – https://nofacilities.com/2020/03/12/running-around-doors-thursdaydoors/

Thanks Dan. I agree on all counts. That last door was put together using lots of design forethought and the door-fence has seen better days.

Interesting star of David motif on one door. Street art is almost always interesting for me, though I realise, not for others. Well done, putting together a mixture with something for everyone, Norm.

Oh, that Garfield mural! Too funny 🙂 The colourful spaghetti picture makes me smile. A good counterweight to all the whiteness of the snow.
I’ve missed a few weeks because I was busy working on the book with my mum, and didn’t feel I had a blog post in me. Too much going on. Today I really wanted to participate, so I cheated a bit: I’ve added a door to a blog post I wanted to write today about my learnings in self-publishing.
I did choose a door that for me made sense combined with the post.
Apologies for cheating, I just missed participating too much!
