Capalbio, Tuscany Part #3

Continuing our visit to Capalbio this week. In case you missed the previous posts from there you can see Part 1 here and Part 2 here.

Before I get started though just a quick note to let you know I’ll be taking a blogging break for the holidays. The last Thursday Doors post for 2019 will be on December 19th. For this post  I’ll be doing a year-end review of my favourite doors posted 2019, please feel free to do the same. In fact, I hope you do 😉

After a 2-week break, we’ll be back in the New Year with a fresh new post to start a new decade on January 9th, 2020.

But for now, here’s more of Capalbio:

Tight angle

I can’t imagine how old this one is but it looks original.

The shadow lamp and the hardware are the main features in this shot

Hidden courtyards and passageways all over!

That cute horizontal handle in the middle – is it just me or does it look a bit too delicate?

Green is good. Especially with a reflected Manja sighting in the shot as well 😉

So much to love in this one: the clean elegant lines, the simple classic brickwork, the handles….

That’s it for this time. I hope you enjoyed our ongoing tour.

Please remember to share your doors posts by adding your link in the comments section below.

Don’t forget to use the #ThursdayDoors hashtag when sharing your own doors posts on social media, and most of all: please take a few minutes to visit some of the Thursday Door posts shared by our other contributors.

As always thanks for looking 🙂

  1. nice doors. I was watching Lego City (a cartoon) a few days ago. In it was a character called a doorman. It reminded me of you. But this character could open doors and magically be in different places. lol

They’re all gorgeous winners of doors, that’s fersure! I love the green one with the attached metal framed window — so stunning with that shiny brass knocker in contrast. I also love the arches along the stone walk. Manja has really spoiled my eyes with all the arches over stone walks. I can never get enough of them 🙂

I have just noticed that the commune must supply standard door number signs.

  8. So much character in each door you captured. And, I love the hinges on the rough wood doors. I think my favorite, though, is the green one with the interesting vases on the widowsill beside it (and Manja in the reflection too!). =) I hope you are staying warm and enjoy a nice weekend, Norm!

Love all the brick and stone and arches and real (not hollow-core) doors! And hidden doors, passages, and courtyards are the bestest! Here’s my offering this week: https://marianallen.com/2019/12/heine-brothers-i-am-not-making-that-up-thursdaydoors/

Beautiful as always. I’m always fascinated by how long wood lasts. I think some might even outlive concrete.

I really liked doing the recap last time. Looking forward to it:)
