More Doors in NDG – Montreal
Last week we visited Porchfest in Montreal’s NDG borough in this post here.
This week I thought I’d throw in a few of the other interesting and/or colourful commercial doors found along Sherbrooke St. W which is the main artery through this part of town.
As always, thanks for stopping in 🙂

I love the color of the Encore shop and of course the one for rent. I hope they keep those vibrant colors!!

Eclectic! I love reading French. That’s my favorite part of this post, although, like you, I’m curious if the new inhabitants will want to keep the pink!

I think I like the old apartment door best. Love them all though. I so appreciate you running this challenge for all us door-addicts. (I used to think I was alone!)

Love the variety of doors, Norm. Like others, I think my favorite is the 5922 door with an unusual symbol.

I just love #3. It’s my favorite! But I’m a sucker for colors so #7 is my second favorite!
And here’s my entry for this week: a set of doors in various shades of one color… 😉 https://angelafurtadophotography.com/2019/05/30/thursday-doors-may-30-2109/

5922 would be me favorite one to rent! Stained glass is so beautiful:) The last one, if they would allow me to paint it in a different color, haha.. Mine are in the post “Mostly native Calififornian”

seems like Sherbrooke St. has some nice colors and history….
also – the doors through the fence were moody in a good way – the Graffiti and bricks ….
here is my entry this week:
3 glass doors and some from the archives

Thank you. I believe it’s the longest, or one of the longest, streets in the city, so you can find lots of variety depending on which part of town you’re in.

Happy colours and sights. I understand Encore, but does that other name mean A Cat and Wind? 😀
Here is my rainy tour of Ljubljana but it ends with lunch, including sister’s newly painted door.

Hi Norm,
Sorry I’ve been away for a few weeks. I’ve been fully immersed in researching and writing my book and seemingly fell down a mine shaft and kept falling. My favourite was the hot pink one to rent. Love it.
This week I’ve finally managed to post the door photos I took at the Sydney Writers’ Festival a few weeks ago: https://beyondtheflow.wordpress.com/2019/05/30/thursday-doors-carriageworks-sydney/
Best wishes,

I like the Buy and Sell (thrift/consignment?) store and the bright colors of the last shop. I have lots of used vinyl I’d love to sell, but I think any profit margin wouldn’t balance the cost of driving to Montreal to do the selling. 🙂 Would be a fun trip, though.
I’m in Philadelphia again this week, with two for the price of one.

Thanks Janet. No between the time and the cost of gas a used vinyl selling trip to Montreal would be a losing proposition, unless you have some rare collectible stuff in your collection 😉

TWO corner doors this week! Jackpot! That pink doesn’t appeal to me, but the beautiful blues do. At least, I’m pretty sure they’re blue. All the online tests tell me I’m not colorblind, but shades of blue/green, brown/green, and orange/pink baffle me. Whatever colors they are, though, I love ’em! My door inspired a story for the next-to-the-last day of Story A Day May: http://marianallen.com/2019/05/trip-hazard-storyadaymay-thursdaydoors/

Very nice set. It’s a great idea to paint the doors of a building for rent in such bright colours. Good investment.

I like these ‘everyday’ doors, but the pick of the bunch for me is 5922 blending the old with the new through design.

Norm, some interesting doors this week. 5922 is my fave. My doors come from the street across the river from Durham Cathedral and Castle. https://drprunesquallor279704606.wordpress.com/2019/05/30/thursday-doors-south-street-1/

I like everything about the Achats & Vente storefront.
I’m guessing the store in the last photo used to be a candy / ice cream shop. It looks like a wonderful corner location. I would want that for my store.

Great eclectic grouping of doors, Norm. I would have guessed the vet’s door was an antique store, and I hope the corner pink door grabs a great tenant. Happy Thursday.

Thanks Judy. I should have paid closer attention to what was going on with that vet’s door. I’m wondering now if maybe the vet hadn’t moved out and the new tenant IS an antiques store that hasn’t had time to change the sign yet….
