Our New Doors Are In!

A bit of a boring follow-up post for this week. If you remember back in early March I showed you our old doors on our home.

This was just after we’d made arrangements with a local door and window specialist to have some new, more energy efficient doors and windows installed and I wanted to capture the old ones one last time for posterity.

Years of wear and tear had taken their toll and the old doors were not doing as good a job of keeping the outdoors well…outdoors; especially during the coldest parts of winter.

Well the new doors and windows were installed earlier this month and so far we are very happy with the results.

They’re not any fancier than the ones they replaced, but they are supposed to be a lot more efficient at keeping the elements out.

What these shots do remind me of is the fact that now that the snow has melted it’s time for me to get out and rake and de-thatch the lawn for spring 😀

As for the new doors I guess the real test will only come next winter, but from the inside we’re pretty confident that the frost and cold air will stay on the other side where they belong.
