Here’s an entry for Tuesdays of Texture for week 4.
This was found on a recent stroll around downtown Montreal.
A single fuzzy baby bootie sitting in a melting snowbank.
It has kind of a sad vibe to it, especially if you spend too much time pondering how it got there 😉
You can find lots of other interesting texture photography posts over at DE Monte Y MAR
Why not head on over and check them out? You could even add your own and play along.
Thanks you for looking 🙂
I liked this example of textures, Norm. I get concerned about hats found along paths, too. Poor baby or toddler sensitive ears getting nearly frozen. Too cold to have no boot on, too. Hoping the family lives nearby and will come by soon to reclaim it! 🌬🌫

I hope one day, someone blogs over Moo’s lost baby blue Croc in the Hinesville, Georgia Walmart. LOL

One little sock covered foot is looking for that nice warm boot. 🙂 Love the photo – perfect.

I agree–a lone shoe always has a tone of sadness to it, doesn’t it? Especially if it’s a child’s. In the winter. Even if it fell there for completely benign reasons (which it probably did), our minds like to create worse stories.

Thanks Carrie. I was wondering if perhaps it was just me 😉

Reminds me of that sad Hemmingway 6-word story: “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” But it is a great photo, so I’ll focus on that instead.

Yes Ally! That is EXACTLY the story I was thinking of when I came across this 🙂

Oh poor baby. Hope mommy was on her way back looking for it.

Or perhaps Daddy…and that’s why the missing bootie didn’t get noticed right away?

Good to see you back on a Tuesday, Norm.
The kid kicked it off while being carried. The parents had just bough the boots and, after discovering one uncovered foot, had to buy a new pair. Been there, bought those, twice.

That’s just way too logical Dan…and probably right too 🙂
