Barn Door – Brattleboro Vermont
I’m still trying to stay off my feet due to a case of tendinitis in my Achilles heel. Between that and being extra-busy with work, well doorscursions have not been too frequent lately 😦
This week is only one pic, also from the archives.
As a way to wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends in the United States, this one is from a beautiful late summer day in Brattleboro, Vermont.
Have a wonderful Holiday friends. I hope it is filled with good times, good company, good food, lots of love, and lots of laughter.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by.

The weathered hanging barn doors are special in a few different ways. I enjoy authentic barns. Thanks for the great posts and including us in your “doorscursions.” Take it easy and hope your tendonitis eases up, Norm. 💐

It’s lovely to see a wooden barn, Norm. Here we mostly have stone or corrugated metal barns.

Wood was in such an abundance here over the centuries that it was always the easiest and most logical option.

A well used barn door is perfect! Hang in there, Norm.
I was going to post this week but I missed the linkup deadline. I’ll be ahead of the game next week.

Sorry to hear about the tendinitis – hope it’s better soon. We’re taking it easy this holiday – it’s kind of like the calm before the Christmas storm of activities.

I don’t think you can ever go wrong showing a barn. These doors are super. Love how each door is weathering differently.
Sorry about tendinitis. Painful. Mine is in my elbow which I have no doubt is easier to handle than in your foot. Hope you are well on your way to healing. Hope you are able to get out this weekend. I really enjoy your posts. —Ginger—

Sorry to hear your foot is still causing you some grief. Hope you bounce back soon … but as Janet said, all you need is one door and your archive is richer than most 🙂

Thanks Vicky.
It’s not the worse thing that could happen but it’s one of those nagging injuries that seems to take forever to get better.

That’s a beautiful door, Norm. Fully capable of carrying the post single handed. Or is that single hinged?
I hope you’re feeling better soon. Tender feet are sad feet. I’m glad you have such beautiful doors in the archive.
Thanks again for hosting Thursday Doors. It’s a fun way to share a common love of beautiful buildings, interesting architectur and history. You bring us together each week, and each week, we enjoy.
