Colour and  Elegance in Montréal’s Plateau Mont-Royal 

Montréal’s Plateau Mont-Royal borough is one of the most eclectic and culturally diverse neighbourhoods in our city.

Exploring its commercial boulevards like Boul. St-Laurent or rue St-Denis you’ll find hip, modern, new world attitudes with trendy restaurants, shops, and boutiques in abundance.

No I didn’t sample the deluxe french fries – maybe next time 🙂

But walk one block in any direction away from the busy commercial streets to the residential areas and you’ll also encounter quiet side streets

 old world charm, and beautiful historic architecture.

Along with a tribute to Leonard Cohen, I showed you some some of the funky street-art in last week’s post.

This week I thought I’d show you some of my favourite colourful and elegant discoveries.
