Share Your World 2016 – Week 33

Here are my answers to Cee’s Share Your World questions for week 33.

Would you travel into outer space?

If they could assure me that subjecting my body in its present condition to zero gravity for an extended time was safe, yes I’d definitely go.

Looking down/back and seeing the earth from outer space would be the most humbling experience, don’t you think?

Which country/city in the world (that you have never been to) would you most like to visit and why?

Oh that would be a long list. I’ve traveled quite a bit for business and pleasure but I’ve only been outside of North America once – assuming the Caribbean doesn’t count as outside North America.

There are so many places I’d love to visit but if I was forced to choose just one, it would be a coin toss between Japan and New Zealand.

What could you do to breathe more deeply today?

My (supposedly) daily stretching routine. I always feel better and more relaxed after taking 20 minutes to do some toning and stretching exercises.

Complete this sentence:  This creamy peanut butter sandwich could really use some…

grape jelly of course!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week we did some exploring in the small towns and countryside relatively close to home. We found this Abbey where the Monks are involved in making confectionery products like honey and jams, cheese, chocolate, herbal teas, and edible forest products, which they sell in their onsite store.

They also offer a few courses in identifying and collecting mushrooms and edible plants. We spent a peaceful afternoon on an introductory course about edible forest products.

We’re hardly ready to go foraging through the woods on our own for snacks, but it was fascinating to see all the things that can be eaten; many of them are quite good.

It was also scary to discover how many can be toxic. On the other hand there are so many that have medicinal properties. Either way you really need to know what you’re doing before you start traipsing though the fields and forests and begin chowing down on the first pretty plants you see.

This weekend I’m looking forward to getting out on a few doorscursions in town. I have a nice list of places to check out that have the potential to make good posts.

Thanks to Cee for this terrific weekly challenge. It’s a lot of fun; if you haven’t played along yet, you might want to give it a try.

Thanks for reading, 🙂

I love how adamant people seem about their answer to the peanut butter question. You’re one of the few of my followers who seems OK with the notion of having to rely on the air that you would carry with you into space. Anything for a good photo 🙂
