I’m finally back with a new contribution for Tuesdays of Texture this week.
Another solid stone wall on an old country church – I seem to be coming across these a lot lately:
You’ll find lots of other interesting texture posts over at DE Monte Y MAR
By all means head on over to check them out and perhaps even add your own.
I thank you for looking 🙂
Tuesday is terrific with your stone church photographs. The textured cement indentations between stones creat ed a “giant puzzle” building. I love the way you caught the angle where you feel like you can “touch” the stones!

The old building materials are still the best.

You can find as many of these as you like Norm. I just love looking at them. I’m trying to imagine the work involved.

Thanks Dan. We’ve visited a number of small towns in the last few weeks and it seems like every one has at least one or two churches like this. I can’t make door posts out of all of them, people will get sick of looking at churches 😉

I don’t think people tire of stone buildings and beautiful doors. Just sayin…

Have a good week –
And by the way – I read the stop drop and roll to my teen son and his gf and we all had some great laughs – you are so funny – and it was layered with insight – bah!

I always admire beautiful stonework like this, but I am also in awe of their ability to create it and have it stand through the centuries with the basic of tools and supplies. We are descendants of some really hard working and creative people. 🙂
