Here are my contributions for this week’s Tuesdays of Texture.
On one of my Thursday Doors posts before the holidays I highlighted an historic old building Maison Vaudry, not far from where we live here just north of Montréal.
After getting the door shots I wanted, I walked around this 235 ancestral home to photograph the different building materials that were used for various upgrades and expansions over the years.
I found lots of texture; from the original field stones, textured blocks, to the more modern brick and paving stones around the back:
If you haven’t visited DE Monte Y MAR by all means head on over to check out some of the other texture posts you’ll find there, and perhaps even add your own – it’s a lot of fun.
As always I thank you for looking 🙂
That rubble wall right at the top is a great texture. I can imagine myself stopping to look at the wall if I walked down that road.

This was a fine example of textures, Norm. I may take up doing textures on Tuesdays but I sure enjoy the doors series you helped interest me in. Thank you for that! 🙂

This is probably going to sound weird, but I always like to touch brick. I always run my hands over it to feel the texture

I know, that rough porous feel has a lot more texture than you’d think ☺

And, in those buildings you’ve been showing, a great deal of history

I do love the wonderful textures, shapes, and colors you captured; they are such great elements in the composition of your images.
