Thursday Doors – December 31, 2015

Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in on the fun by creating and sharing your own Thursday Doors post each week between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American eastern time) by using the blue link-up button below.

Year-End Freestyling – Happy New Year!

Since things are relatively quiet around the holidays I’ve decided to try something a little different for our last Thursday of 2015.

If you have a new post that you’d like to feature this week please go ahead and do so; but for anyone who hasn’t had time to put together a new door post this week, feel free to participate all the same by going freestyle and linking up to one of your previous favorite door posts from 2015.

I also want to take a moment to thank everyone for embracing this wacky idea and sharing different parts of your world with us through pictures of doors. It has been entertaining, informative, and most of all: so much fun!

As for me, here are some more red doors from Quebec City:

Quebec Red 01

Quebec Red 02

Quebec Red 04

Quebec 05

I wish you all the very best for 2016 – much health, happiness, and lots of wonderful doors!

As always, thanks for looking 🙂

Don’t forget to click on this blue button to add the link to your own Thursday Doors post to this week’s list:

If you share your posts on Twitter and Instagram remember to use the #ThursdayDoors hashtag and please do take a few minutes to visit the Thursday Door posts shared by others.

  4. Great choices for the last Thursday Doors of 2015, Norm. I’ll be back participating next week. I’ve taken so many pictures of doors over the last few months that my partner fears I may get arrested.
In the meantime (and in line with you allowing us to link back to a previous Thursday Doors post), here’s the link to the very first one I submitted.

My ‘happy’ door went down a treat.

I love the red doors so much, it’s hard to decide on a favorite, but I think #22’s hardware gets my vote. Great doors!

Surely a pastry chef lives behind #22. Or someone who really loves Play-Doh! Thank you for the inspiration. 🙂 Xx

Thank you Kerry. I’ll go with the pastry chef theory, but I’m kinda partial to baked goodies. Hope to see you around with some doors posts in 2016 – you’re more than welcome to join in whenever the mood strikes, the more the merrier 🙂

I really like the boldness of red, Norm. The first one with molding and curved windows set into the door, along with navy awning struck me as my favorite. Each one was unique, black hinges, door open and stone arch, while the one with the pretty lamp makes want to go buy them a glass globe for the other side of the door. Have a happy new year, Norm! 🙂

The house we sold and moved out of last spring had a beautiful red door. And now I live in a money pit of a fixer upper. Sigh.

Love the house number sign for #22, so creative. I picture someone covered in flour & madly baking away behind that very interesting door! Happy New Year Norm.

So close to the action, I’ve always been impressed with how well these doors have held up (been maintained) over time. Thanks again for hosting this series Norm. I took a little liberty with the rules today, but I am looking forward to more doors in 2016. Have a very Happy New Year holiday and I wish you the best as we start another year!
