Thanks. So I think this one is getting printed and framed. Let me ask your opinion: would you edit out the telephone wires? At least the one on the upper left perhaps?

Personally I would not. In an image like this one, I like to keep it true to what I saw. That being said, if you don’t mind doing all the work, you might want to try it and see if you like it better without. As it is, I think it perfect. The electric lines do not detract from your main subject. It’s truly a great shot. The perspective is superb and the lines do convey all in the middle, which is perfect. The eyes do stay in the photo which is what you want. The more I look at it, I am convinced I would not touch it.

A good suggestion – I’ll fiddle with it during my time off over the holidays and see which way I like best. Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I love ‘talking shop’ with other photographers. Maybe we could go shooting together some day…

Cool – I’ll DM you on Twitter over the holidays so we can discuss further in terms of when/where.

Absolutely beautiful… the perspective is enhanced because it is B&W… I agree with the others, this photo is meant to be this way and people might pay for it… I know I would!

The photo of the rowboat, rocks and other boats in the background is really frame-worthy. Seriously, people will pay for such a quality print, Norm. I keep studying it! 🙂

Funny you say that, I was telling my wife this morning that we should frame and copy it a send to our friends in Nova Scotia who hosted us the week we were there. I think you’ve just convinced me that I should – thank you!

Lovely picture – but that book doesn’t look seaworthy! Looks like a basket!

Thanks Dan. It’s funny because the original shot in color wasn’t working for me. Then I got the idea to convert it to B&W which is something I don’t do often, and now I have to say it really rocks 🙂

This is perfect for B&W. I don’t do that often enough either.
