Here’s my contribution for this week’s Tuesdays of Texture over at de monte y mar.
These are a couple of the many examples of texture found on a tall ship that we took a morning cruise on around the harbour in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
As always, thanks for looking 🙂
Smooth sailing ahead and knotty wood can hold up against winds and the sea. I just had to describe (tongue in cheek) the two textures, Norm. 🙂

Thanks. I took shots from several different angles but I loved the visual effect on this one.

Thanks, the sail is my favorite. For the ropes on the boom I tried getting closer to really capture the texture, but then I lost all of the context.

Norm, I like them both very much, but in different ways. The first is much more contained, while the second soars.

Great descriptions of both shots Janet. You summed it up better than I could have, thanks 🙂

Both of these shots are stunning! I love the texture of the wood in the first and the light and billowing sail in the second.

Both great shots, but I really like that first one with the way the ropes lines up. 🙂
