Thursday Doors – July 23, 2015

While I’m away attending a trade show and trying not to melt in the mid-summer Las Vegas heat, I thought now would be a good time to pull out another of the many beautiful doors I captured during our February visit to Québec City.

Just look at the snow on the sidewalk, doesn’t it make you feel cooler already? 🙂

This entrance seems to be split between a private residence and a B & B. I liked the concave inset arch as well as the color of the door, and in an old building like this, I’d really love to go in and see what that B & B looks like on the inside.

May just be an excuse to go back:

Well, if you’re here in Las Vegas this week you should be doing OK. It’s only been in the high 90’s all last week. I don’t think we ever made it much higher than 100. And this morning was beautiful, though I’ve been stuck in my office since then. Enjoy! 🙂

Norm, I like that the door has two address #s 56 and 54. I was born in ’55 with brothers in ’57 and ’59. So, those 2 #s have no family significance but made a fantastic door post today. The stonework and arch are really unique.

Sorry for the delay, just catching up from being away last week. Yes, I hadn’t noticed the step at first but they did make it work nicely.

  14. Hehe, I was just making ready my photos and now I see that you too have a turquoise door 😀 Must be something in the air. I’m still gonna post mine. My family now knows that Thursday is the day for the doors and they keep pointing interesting ones to me. Gotta love that! Thanks!

We’ve been having a bit of a heat and humidity wave here in CT this week. It feels good looking at this. I love arched doors and these are huge! I like the oclor and that one side is glass and one wood. Great doors Norm!

  16. Enjoy Vegas. I love these doors – color is great, style is beautiful, big windows, and iron accessories on second floor.
