A few weekends ago we we visited the re-opening of Les Jardins Moore north-east of Montréal in the town of Mascouche.
While we walked around I took plenty of shots of the gardens and forest, some of which you can see in this post: Tuesdays of Texture
At one point we came upon this nice little storage shed with a brightly painted door that I thought would be a good candidate for this series.
I love the way the vines and other vegetation are slowly taking over not only the door, but the entire shed:

I love it, too. Especially since it’s yellow — how cheerful! While we were on vacation, the vines overtook my bird feeder. I haven’t photographed it yet, but it’s amazing what the weeds got up to in a week’s time!

Great choice Norm. Isn’t it amazing how quickly nature takes over when given half a chance. Two days after we cut our grass the daisies are back again. Fortunately, I love daisies. 🙂

Love this photo. Strength of color. Hard edges softened by greenery. And an old place — which I love. Thanks for posting this one!
