Here’s my entry for this week’s Tuesdays of Texture.
These are from a recent visit to the local botanical gardens. I found the the bark on this trunk looked more like a snake than a tree, but it sure has some interesting texture to it.
One thing I’m realizing is that I really have to start taking notes when I go to these places, because if you ask me what type of plant/tree this is, I don’t remember 😦
As always, thanks for looking 🙂

I hear ya on writing this stuff down – and sometimes I just send a text to myself (or my hubs) with the info and it helps….
also, this does look like a snake – or like an artist designed in – what a great capture – have never seen anything like this 🙂

It was a first for me too. I have to go back and read the signs 😀

well the important thing is getting the photos – because I am sure that even in the garden center things change and evolve – – so getting those good photos is the main thing (i guess)

I’ve seen many branches on the ground that I thought were snakes but none quite so spectacular.

I entered the picture url into google images to find out what it is, and it mostly showed me snakes and lizards. That made me giggle.

I hadn’t thought of trying that. A good trick to remember for the next time I post something I don’t know the name of 😀

Unfortunately in this case I just learned about snakes and lizards 🙂

Hi Norm, it’s really like a snake, I imagine it can make lots of people scared in the dark. Nice photo!

Thanks Elizabeth. Yes you’re right, I wouldn’t be strolling around in there after dark 😉

Fascinating, and I am so amazed I don’t need to know the name. 🙂
