    Oh…San Gimignano… I never did make it to that bit of Italy! I guess there’s still time (just a partner who’s no longer fond of driving far) 🙂 Lovely door!

    The backdrop of stone and bricks just adds to the allure of the iron gates, doesn’t it? I especially also love the accessories, mailbox, intercom, locking mechanism… Great capture!

    Wow. I must go back to Italy one day and actually look around… went in 2005 for “business” and didn’t see much at all–other than the Minardi F1 Factory and Signore Minardi himself. 🙂

    This is a great photo. I really enjoy looking at iron work. It is such an amazing and utilitarian art form. Nice door!
