This one was found on a residential street in Queens, NY:
Yes that is a red and blue moose wearing a sky blue cape, sitting on a bench in someone’s oddly decorated front yard.
If anyone knows of any significance to having a caped moose standing watch in your front yard, please pipe in.
As always, thanks for looking 🙂
I always see all sorts of strange decorations on the houses in Queens. It seems to be a Thing there.

Oh that’s an easy one to answer. The moose is there to guard the decorations. Who’s going to mess with a moose? Also, It’s winter. If a moose is going to be hanging around on a bench all day, he needs a cape to stay warm.

Good one – I like that explanation! It’s a lot kinder than anything I could come up with.

I have no clue, but these seem like the kind of neighbors I would want. Fun and kitschy 😀

Then you’d love our neighbors from across the street. As of last night they were still turning on their Christmas lights…ugh!

Hi Norm, it’s really funny, I’ve no idea what a caped moose means, but I can imagine how messy would be inside this house. Have a great weekend!

“Personality”? Well done; that is much more tactful than any word I would have chosen 😉
