Tuesdays of Texture – Dec. 16th, 2014 – Brick Wall

Here’s my contribution for this week’s Tuesdays of Texture

A brick wall on our home with the almost midday sun casting some harsh shadows from above and the side, to really bring out that rough textured appearance.

Every time I look at this one I’m tempted to reach out and rub my hand across it.

Photoshop 2 008

Thanks for looking 🙂

Great shot. Simple yet complex. Smooth yet rough. ( that’s the rubbing part. ) 😁

What I find interesting is that in many cities in North America, bricks house is something that is rare or even non-existent and many photographers are attracted to those brick house. Coming from Montreal myself bricks house were always part of my life and I never realised until I started exchanging with photographers from around the world ……… and yes bricks does give a beautiful texture
