Weekly Photo Challenge – Twinkle

As soon as I saw that the word for the Weekly Photo Challenge was Twinkle, I knew I wanted to find a way to capture twinkling reflected light off of all the fresh snow we’ve had here recently.

I just wasn’t sure how best to capture it. Well there’s that as well as the fact that I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to standing outside in the cold to take pictures.

This morning however I lucked out with some great morning light bouncing off the snow.

The way our house is built the basement windows are at the perfect height to capture the ground at eye level, by shooting right out the windows in the front of the house. This gave me a great angle to capture some wonderful reflections off the snow and best of all, I didn’t even have to go outside and freeze my butt off to get the shots.

Have a look and let me know which ones you like best:

Can’t decide between 6, 7, and 8. The light and colors are so beautiful, even if it is nasty, hateful SNOW. (IMHO)

Number 1 is very unique. We have a lot of the white stuff so the creativity of the initial photo is my pick. 🙂

I can’t decide between #1 and #6. Snow is so much better when you can just look at it twinkle in photos! We had a very light dusting a while back that didn’t stick…but other than that we have been snow free here! I hate the cold.
